Legal Services has several functions. The two most important ones are protecting Corporate View patents and trademarks from infringement and protecting Corporate View from liabilities.
Legal Services must observe the legal compliance to the laws of incorporation and the legal conduct of businesses in the states and countries in which Corporate View operates. Special consideration is given to the laws of Colorado, where Corporate View headquarters is located.
Legal Services is also responsible for all contracts and legal documents prepared by the corporation. The department is consulted on questions related to product liability, employment equity and fairness, and patented technology. Certain truth-in-advertising legislation has brought the department into the Web site and product information arena.
