CF4000/SE Bug Report

TeleView modified its successful CF4000 series phone to better fit the needs and lifestyles of students. The earlier phones were programmed in assembly language, whereas the student edition (SE) was programmed with Java creating the source code. This became our first Java-based phone. Java gave us some flexibility with our Web and Internet linking capabilities.

Testing and R&D certified the new phone and reduced its bug list to near zero upon release. The only known bug was found with the retracting feature on the antenna, which was a known but minor problem in all the CF4000 series of phones. Because the problem was minor, we decided to correct this problem in the CF4500 series due out in the market next quarter.
